I am making a new banjo with longer neck and with this resonator. Not finished yet. Also, the arm rest was not in the box??

Deering Goodtime Banjo Resonator Retro Fit Kit
Overall I'm very happy with the new sound of my banjo with the resonator kit installed. I was a little bit disappointed to find what looks like rust on the back of one of the the flanges; I would expect better quality from Deering. Also, I would not agree with the other comment on here that this is easy to install. It is not difficult to install, but you do need to either remove your strings or greatly reduce the tension of the strings because you will have to remove the drum head nuts to add the mounting flanges. If you don't significantly reduce your string tension prior to loosening the drum head nuts, the bridge will press into the drum head and could possibly damage the drum head. There are no instructions included in the kit, but Deering has some very good videos on YouTube to help guide you through the installation process.

You don't need to remove the head to put the flange on. You just need to take the hex nuts off of the hooks on one side of the rim, put the flange on that side, and put the hex nuts back on. Then do the same for the other side of the rim. If you have any questions, we are happy to help.
