Deering Sierra 19-Fret Tenor Banjo with Fiberskyn Head

The Sierra banjo by Deering is their flagship model that uses the same pot assembly as their ultra high end banjos such as the Calico, GDL, and Gabriella. This banjo features the Deering bell bronze -06- tone ring and is paired with their 3-ply violin grade maple rim which produces a very rich, clear, tone with strong high frequencies and bass response.

This Sierra tenor banjo features a fiberskyn head which balances the brightness of the tenor banjo and gives it a rich warm tone. I personally use this model as my go to tenor banjo for all of my professional New Orleans jazz gigs here in New Orleans.
