This Ode 11" openback tenor banjo is made by the Ome Banjo Company in Boulder, Colorado, and sounds absolutely fantastic! This banjo is set up for jazz playing and is tuned C, G, D, A. It is extremely lightweight which makes it a joy to play. The light weight does not compromise tone though. It does not have a tone ring but it is bright and clear as though it does. The thin rim combination works magically!
