Feels and sounds amazing, showed up in perfect condition!

Wonderful 6-string
I previously owned the high end B6-AE and was looking for something smaller and lighter. This is a wonderful 6-string banjo and is a joy to play. It is light yet projects way more than I expected for an open back. Very rich, full, warm-ish tone. And it is made in the good old US of A! I have not yet sprung for the excellent Kavanjo pickup that my B6 had, but I did install a K&K banjo pickup and it was super easy to install and sounds excellent. Just a little eq to taste and that's all that was needed (the output of the K&K coupled with the buffer in my eq pedal is more than enough to replace the need for any other pre-amp). Banjo Studio shipped it promptly and it was set up perfectly - intonation was spot on. I chose to lower the action a bit, but that's just my preference. And the Deering gig bag that I also purchased, while pricey for what it is, is well made and has an very nice embroidered Deering graphic. I highly recommend this banjo and Banjo Studio.

Making Better Music
I am two years into learning how to play my Martin D-16 Acoustic Guitar. Sing and play guitar with family for Sunday wine and music. Want different sound for guitar accompaniment and did thorough review of 6 string banjos. Found Derring and love it. Practice both with no problems. Deering was also great to deal with in finding the best dealer for the Goodtime 6 string.

A GREAT Banjo Experience!
My first banjo venture. I am delightfully satisfied with my purchase. David was extremely helpful and really pleasant to speak with. He was VERY helpful! My Deering Goodtime 6 string is GREAT. Everything I wanted and needed beyond my expectations. I haven’t put it down since it arrived. Thank you all for a great expericnce.
Great instrument
Fun. Not so expensive you worry about hot rodding. 🤠
